Hey Jr. Whites!
I am so happy with our progress so far this season. I have seen so much improvement in all our strokes especially in our butterfly and freestyle. So far I am very impressed with the work we are putting into our swimming and our sets during practice.
Three things we need to keep in mind:
1. When we come to practice in expect all swimmers to have swim suits on (underneath your clothes) and running shoes on for dryland. We do not want to be wasting any pool time after dryland.
2. Please bring water bottles to practice. Like any type of workout or physical activity, keeping hydrated is super important.
3. So far this season, attendance at both morning and afternoon practices have not been the best. I understand that most of you are not out for summer break yet, but meets are starting up and the only way we can really do well is from working towards our goals.
With Icebreaker coming up this weekend I want to make sure everyone comes to this Friday’s practice. We will be working on dives and turns in Watermania where the meet will be. We will be going over some very important topics along with swimming such as how meets work and nutrition and hydration during meets.
Good luck to the Jr. Whites and all the Kigoos racing this Icebreaker. I want to see all of us cheering each other on from the stands!
